Your Grandma will be speaking at the Great Canadian Genealogy Summit in Halifax, NS on Sunday October 15th. I will be presenting an African Canadian Family History Mystery.

The family lore states that a lsd was adopted by an African gentleman and his English wife, presumably the lad’s aunt. The lad “took” the African gentleman’s surname and it was handed down for generations. A descendant wants to know his true surname and male ancestral line.
